- Can I create my own courses?
No. Only lecturers that are authorized by Dialog can create courses that are available in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- What are the hardware and software requirements to access e-Teacher?
All you need is a computer with an Internet connection. Many of the courses require some free plug-ins that is usually included with your web browser. In addition, you need to allow pop-ups from the eTeacher site.
- What type of courses are available and when?
A list of courses is available in the ‘Available Courses’ section. Students can log in and take courses anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year from http://eteacher.dialog.lk
- How do students enroll to courses?
There are many ways that a student can sign up for a course.- Select the course from the list of ‘Available Courses’ and Click the ‘Buy’ button. You can pay with your Credit Card or your Mobile Phone.
- Send an SMS with the course ID to 445. The course fee will be deducted from your Dialog mobile bill.
- Follow instructions by typing #445# in the USSD menu. Course fees will be deducted from your Dialog mobile bill.
- Select the course from the list of ‘Available Courses’ and Click the ‘Buy’ button. You can pay with your Credit Card or your Mobile Phone.
- How do students log in?
Students can either register by themselves or be registered by an Administrator. During registration, each student will receive a unique username and password.
- How much time is required for students to learn to use the system?
Since our courseware is designed to be intuitive, even first time Internet users can use the system with ease.
- How long are course contents available for?
It depends on the subject and the lecturer. All course contents expire after the course completion date. In some instances, lecturers have the right to disable accessibility to old course contents.
- How will students be notified of course updates?
Upon enrollment, course updates will be automatically notified via e-mail and sms.
